Get Off and Repellent Spray

With repellent spray, you can keep the cat away from places both indoors and outdoors. On this page you will find, among other things, sprays from Get Off, Urine Off and PetSafe that can help prevent the cat from urinating indoors. Several of the sprays have a double-acting effect where they can both neutralize the smell if the cat has peeed somewhere, and then they leave a fresh scent of citrus that the cat thinks is unpleasant and the idea is that the cat does not pee in the same place again. Another type of spray available on this site is dressage spray and corrector spray that can be used in training and prevent unwanted behavior.

Do you have a male cat that is urine marking indoors, outside the litter box? Some times, this behavior can be overcome by having the right tools. Two things to try are these: a dressage spray or a cat repellent spray. The dressage spray (Pet Corrector) is an odorless spray that emits a wheezing sound reminiscent of the sound a snake makes. This sound can interrupt unwanted behavior when used at the right moment. SSSCat is an "automatic" rejection spray from PetSafe that works in a different way. It is an odorless liquid that is sprayed out (which of course is completely harmless to the cat) when the motion detector is triggered. You can use this if you want to keep the cat away from, for example, the bedroom if it has the habit of peeing on the bedding. The other way to prevent the cat from peeing inside is with a Get Off spray.

The sprays from Get Off works by neutralizing the urine scent when the cat has been peeing indoors, and then prevents further soiling by leaving behind a citrus scent that the cat does not like. Spray directly on the urine spot (wipe the wetness first) and allow to dry - Wash Off spray does not need to be washed off. There is one for indoor use, and one for outdoor use so you can also prevent cats and other animals from peeing in the garden. Get Off also has "Get Off my garden" which is gel crystals you put directly on the area where you want to keep cats and dogs away. The crystals have a highly perfumed (harmless) scent that keeps the animals away. Can also be used indoors with caution - not on textiles and some metals.
