Some shampoos are deep cleansing, moisturizing, degreasing, soothing or detangling. If you intend to bathe the cat and then brush it, conditioner is a good product to use after the shampooing. The conditioner helps to clear out tangles from the coat and make it glossy. For cats that do not like water, or when you do not have time to bathe the cat, there is dry shampoo and spray conditioner that does not need to be rinsed out.
