Material & leather care - Everything you need to take care of your equipment!

Extend the life of your equipment through regular supervision and care! Leather products in particular are sensitive, but with the right care can last a long time and age incredibly beautifully. Reviewing the equipment regularly also makes it easier for you to detect any damage or deficiencies such as could cause danger to you or discomfort and abrasions to the horse.

At Petster you will find a large range of high-quality products for leather care - from leather soap with glycerin to leather oils and leather conditioner with other moisturizing substances, such as beeswax. You will also find impregnation sprays for both leather and textiles, detergents for horse blankets and scrapers, as well as laundry bags that collect loose fur during machine washing.

Quick tips for caring for leather products:

  • Keep your leather products away from moisture and wet as much as possible.
Moisture and moisture damage the leather and can cause mold to start growing. In extremely wet weather, rather use e.g. a pair of synthetic / rubber stable shoes. Feel free to use impregnation for extra protection against moisture.

  • Never dry leather in heat!
Heat dries out the leather and can cause it to crack. Dry the leather at room temperature and then lubricate with leather conditioner.

  • Clean and moisturize regularly.
Dirt corrodes the leather, so be sure to clean it as often as possible. You do not have to use soap every time, water goes a long way! Then moisturize the leather with a simple leather conditioner. It keeps the leather flexible and counteracts cracks.
