The long line is attached between two fixed points so that the cat can move between them, or you can use one point. Then you can get a ground screw or tie-out stick that the cat can be attached to. If instead you want to set up the line between two points, two trees can work perfectly. Then the cat can move in the selected area relatively freely in her harness and line without you having to worry that it runs away.
