In 1997, Julius Export Bt. is founded - a family business that starts with dog products for service dogs and police dogs in Austria. The brand name comes from the German version of the founder's name, Julius, and K9 stands for the street where he got his first dog - 9 Kele street in Budapest. Julius-K9 develops and begins to make bulletproof dog equipment with a focus on police and military service dogs - the Powerharness becomes popular even with ordinary dog owners. The rest is history. Today, Julius-K9 has several product lines for working dogs and companion dogs. The products are constantly evolving and what distinguishes Julius-K9 from others is the professional equipment - which is not just for "professionals" but is suitable for all purposes.
