Does every horse need a neck cover?

Not all. Horses with a long, thick mane and winter coat usually manage without. Clipped horses, horses with a thin mane, older horses and horses in harsh, windy climates often benefit from a neck cover during cold weather.

Can I use a neck cover with any rug?
