Cat candy - Reward or everyday luxury?

Cat treats can be a luxury you treat the cat to once a week in addition to the usual feed, or you use it as a reward if you train the cat. Maybe you are trick training, or want to teach the cat to use the litter box, scratch the right places (preferably not on the couch ..!), want the cat to be able to enter the transport cage without protest - yes, there are several different occasions when cat treats can be a good reward. Many cats are driven by knowing that a reward in the form of a snack is waiting, and are then more positive about trying to do what you want to teach it then. Cats are independent animals, and it is not always easy to make them do what they want. But try to reward with treats when the cat does the right thing so maybe what you want to teach the cat is learned in the end.

There are many different kinds of cat treats and cat snacks. Some variants are chewing sticks, soft treats, dental snacks and freeze-dried cat treats. The frozen cat treats from Thrive contains 100% freeze-dried chicken, white fish or tuna without unnecessary additives. Small pieces or cubes with soft snacks are a perfect reward for the cat that comes in many different flavors; shrimp, duck, salmon and chicken are some examples. We also have sugar-free cat treats for sterilized cats enriched with A, D3 and E vitamins.

Think of:

Cat treats are a supplemental feed and should not replace a whole feed diet. Remember not to give the cat too much treats. The extra energy the cat treats provides should be included in the feed calculations so that the cat can maintain its weight and be healthy. This is especially important if you have an overweight cat or a cat that easily gain weight. When you give dry or freeze-dried cat treats - make sure the cat has access to fresh water in conjunction with it.
