Interactive Cat Toys

Most cat toys activate the cat. But toys made for mental activation and stimulation are especially good at this. These toys make the cat think and solve problems. Great brain games, in other words! The mental activation toys for cats are available in several different designs. Some are boards or other structures you hide cat treats in, some are automatic toys where things pop out or a laser pointer moves around - and there are several other variants. Cat toys that are interactive are both fun and stimulating for the cat. There are different kinds of puzzle games and other interactive toys that the cat can enjoy on its own. Some of these toys run on battery and others are mechanical without the need for power source. There are interactive cat toys with balls or marbles that the cat can push on with the paw and then the balls move around. The balls are "stuck" inside the toy and the cat can figure out how or if it is possible to get them out. When the ball spins around in the toys' paths it becomes fun and the cat is chasing after. This type of toy is also available combined with a fun mouse that sits on a stick on top that the cat can push and try to get hold of with the paws.

Another type of toy is of the kind where you use cat treats or kibble that is hidden inside the toy. There are various trays or boards with holes, walls, elevations, lids and knobs where you can hide some cat treats. The cat then makes use of its nose to sniff out where the treats are, and then figure out how to get them. In some of the toys, the treats are visible, and the cat needs to use nose or paws to move the treats so that they can eat it. In other toys, the cat treats are even more difficult to access and is under covers or other movable hatches. Here the cat needs to move the lids or open the doors to access the treat. If you have a cat that is overweight or does not have a diet where cat treats are included, it is of course equally useful to use kibble.

Laser pointers are another type of interactive cat toy and these are available both handheld and automatic. The automatic laser pointers have a fun, unpredictable pattern so the cat can hunt around the dot for several hours. A toy with laser pointer can really make the cat run around and exercise. Petster has the fun FroliCat Dart and Bolt with irresistibly fun laser beams that the cat can enjoy on his / her own. FroliCat Dart Duo is also perfect for several cats at the same time as it has two lasers that move in different directions. It is also possible to set the speed on four different levels, which makes the toy even more interesting for the kitty cat.
