Over recent years, Bucas has worked intensively to make its production as sustainable as possible.

They have collaborated closely with their fabric suppliers to find a recycled and eco-friendly material strong enough to be used for horse rugs.

Plastic bottles are crushed, shredded, and spun into yarn, which is then woven into a durable ripstop fabric.

The production of this recycled yarn requires significantly less energy and water and results in lower greenhouse gas emissions.

All fabrics – the waterproof and breathable 600D ripstop outer fabric, insulation, lining, surcingles, and binding – are made from recycled yarn.
