VIMITAL Hyaluron 100 from TRIKEM is a feed supplement that complements the body's own production of hyaluronic acid found in the joints and is the content of the joint fluid. There are studies showing that hyaluronic acid can be taken orally and then taken up through the blood and then goes out to the joints, which can have a similar effect as an injection given by a veterinarian.
Hyaluronic acid is found in the joint fluid for shock absorbing and lubricating function. The joint fluid is also important for the supply of nutrition in the joint. Under load, the joint fluid is normally consumed and loses viscosity and its lubricating function. During rest, the body forms new Hyaluron to restore its fluid properties. If, on the other hand, the body is unable to recreate the joint fluid consumed, the lubricating and shock-absorbing function will disappear, causing both friction and wear of the joint.
The need to supply Hyaluron is controlled by the load and the age of the horse.
From the age of 12-14, horses produce less body-weight substances. If the horse is then used for training or competition you should give Hyaluron supplements for preventive purposes.
Young horses that are in training often have not been able to build enough muscle mass to relieve the joints. The training of young horses often takes place at a high frequency and it can therefore be important to give Hyaluron before the horse has gained muscle.
VIMITAL Hyaluron100 is given preventive or with the slightest indication that the horse is hampered in its movements. Can also be used during rehabilitation after joint inflammation or surgery to increase the presence of Hyaluron and promote nutritional transport in the joints.
By adding Hyaluron 100 daily in the feed, you can be sure that the joint fluid in all the joints of the horse stays at a stable and healthy level.
Dosage
20 ml twice a day for 10 days.
