Shires ARMA Cooling Bandage - Cool Hydro Therapy
These cooling bandages from Shires are easy to use and make it easier when you need to cool down the horse's legs.
Use:
You simply soak these cooling bandages in cold water for 60 minutes, where the microcrystals that the bone protectors contain swell and become a cooling gel. The gel turns into a soft cushion that encloses the horse's legs. Shake off excess water and then the leg guards are ready to put on. The leg guards get cold and can be easily put on by the velcro tension on the guards, attach the guards evenly with a light pressure. Use the guards for about 20 minutes after training, competition or when you need to cool down the horse's legs. For extra cold, you can put ice cubes in the water.
After use:
After use, they are easily air dried and then return to their original form of microcrystals. On the next use, repeat the same procedure again and they can be used again. A perfect alternative to having to put cooling bandages in the fridge or similar. Completely draft-free.
The cooling bandage helps to reduce swelling and bruising, cool tendons after exercise and treat soft tissue injuries.
NOTE - Before first use, soak the covers for 24 hours. Then you can soak as usual before use for 60 min.
