EQ3 Pardus Riding Helmet
This is the latest addition to the Back on Track helmet family, which, like the EQ3 Lynx, is equipped with a MIPS rotation system that allows you to feel safe on your back. The helmet comes in two different designs: Smooth (matte) or in micromocca with glitter. The EQ3 Pardus has several air holes, which creates good ventilation both at the back and the front of the helmet. The lining / liner is removable and made of a material called Coolmax which transports moisture away very well. The lining can be washed clean with lukewarm water.
What is MIPS & how does it work?
The MIPS Brain Protection System provides increased brain damage - this is because the helmet's MIPS system imitates the safety system that is automatically in the human head.
When you fall off your horse and your head is subjected to an oblique stroke in the ground, the brain can move in the cerebrospinal fluid - causing the force that the brain is exposed to in one case to decrease. The MIPS system is a yellow moving shell that you can find in all back on tracks helmets.
